On 25th June 2025 in Abuja, Stop TB Partnership Nigeria (STPN), in collaboration with the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) Nigeria for the Global Fund, commenced a 3-day national workshop aimed at harmonizing civil society strategies for Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM) across HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria programs.

The focus is on addressing the urgent need for domestic funding in the face of changing global health landscapes. We’re diving deep into the overall funding requirements for national programs and exploring ongoing efforts and strategies for resource mobilization, including civil society-led DRM initiatives.

The event brought together key national civil society networks such as ACOMIN, NEPWHAN, TB Network, TB People Nigeria, ACT Nigeria, ASWHAN, @NYNETHA, APYIN, YOUNITE Nigeria, IHVN, @ARFH, and KNCV Nigeria. Government stakeholders in attendance included National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), @National AIDS and STDs Control Programme (NASCP), National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer Control Programme (NTBLCP), and @National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP). This collaborative effort seeks to not only align strategies across sectors but also strengthen institutional capacity for long-term domestic financing for HIV, TB, and Malaria interventions.
